Stuart Kearns

Chief Executive Officer

Stuart is from Zimbabwe and was one of the founding members of the original Chayton Africa. He has a NDAFM with distinction from Lackham University in Wilts, UK.  Stuart established mixed farming operations over eight properties, as owner and Managing Director of Hinton Estates in Zimbabwe. He was industry leader in Conservation Farming practices and a participant in forming 'Foundations for Farming’.  He was a founding member of Origen Commodities, trading substantial portion of Zimbabwe's crop, and developing integrated supply chain to formal agricultural markets, through the formation of ZIMACE, the Zimbabwean Agricultural Commodity Exchange.

Wilco Wilkens

Chief Financial Officer

Wilco obtained his Honours degree in Accountancy at the University of Stellenbosch and is a Chartered Accountant (SA). He worked for PwC for 16 years in South Africa in various industry sectors, including the audit of major listed entities in South Africa.  He relocated to Zambia in 2009 and worked for 5 years for Parmalat Zambia and 1 year for Tiger Animal Feeds before joining Agrivision where he has been CFO for the past 4.5 years.

Malcolm Vowles

Treasury and Development

Malcolm is from Zimbabwe and has a BSc Honours in Agricultural Economics from Reading University in the UK.  He has 10 years experience in horticultural exports; 9 years farmer representative organisations; 3 years farm financial management software; 2 years farm management and the last 7 years at Agrivision in financial systems and controls, treasury, strategy, and most recently as Mill General Manager.

James Banda

Group Financial Manager

James is a qualified chartered accountant from Zambia with a wicked sense of humour.  He has worked in Nigeria, Ghana and United Kingdom in agricultural, manufacturing, hospitality, transport and the public sector. James was the Group Financial Manager for the past 2 years before he became the Finance Manager at Mkushi Estates.

Richard Sikazwe

Group ESG CSR Manager

Richard is a qualified Environmental Engineer and Global Good Agricultural Practice (GGAP) team leader with a demonstrated history of working in the cropping and poultry industry for over 5 years. Skilled in ISO 22000, ISO14001, Global G.A.P IFA version 5.2, IFC Performance Standards, Sustainable Development, Out-grower program implementation and Environmental & Social Management. He has served for 2 years in the Agrivision Group as Environmental Social and Governance Manager.

Management of the farms: Somawhe Estate and Mkushi Estates

Brian Jenkins

General Manager: Agrivision Somawhe Estate

Brian obtained is BSc (Hons) International Agriculture and Land Business Management at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU), Cirencester, England in 2001.  He has 19 years’ experience in horticultural and arable farming sectors.  Of that he spent 14 years’ service on Somawhe in various roles.  Brian has an in-depth knowledge about agricultural processes, agronomy, precision farming and farm operations as well as land/field infrastructure development and land acquisition.  He also has experience in business development including strategy, budgets and marketing, administration, financial planning and review and corporate social responsibility.

Derek Nicolle

General Manager: Agrivision Mkushi Estates

Derek is a born Zimbabwean and has worked on farms in the USA and South Africa.  He holds various certificates in agricultural practices including plant protection and handling as well as Global Good Agricultural Practices.  Derek has 29 years’ experience in large arable farming sectors and he has been General Manager on Mkushi Estates for the past 7 years.

Patrick Kondowe

Financial Manager: Agrivision Somawhe Estate

Patrick has a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and is a fellow of the Association of Certified Accountants.  He has 19 years working experience, and spent this time in audit and assurance, water and sanitation, trading and support services and the last 11 years in agriculture as Financial Manager at Somawhe.

James Banda

Financial Manager: Agrivision Mkushi Estates

In addition to James being the Group Financial Manager he is also currently acting as the Financial Manager for Mkushi Estates.

Malcolm Vowles

Brenda Mulonda

Financial Manager

Brenda has an AAT Diploma, Cima Certificate and is busy with her MBA.  She worked for 14 years in the telecoms industry until she joined Mpongwe Milling in April 2016.  She started as payables accounted and progressed through the ranks until her appointment as Financial Manager in September 2019.

Marguerete Redelinghuys

Business Development Manager and Cost Analyst

Marguerete obtained her Honours degree in B Comm Financial Accounting at the University of Potchefstroom in 2016.  She joined the Mpongwe Milling team as cost accountant in 2017.  She was promoted to Business Development Manager in 2019 while still managing the costing and stock control of the mill.
